Therapy for Individuals

“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.”

— Carl Rogers

Grow + Find Flow

Individual therapy is about questioning the narratives you’ve been given—about love, success, identity, and purpose. Together, we'll uncover the beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you and create space for something more authentic.

Understand & Break Unhelpful Cycles – Identify patterns that keep you stuck and rewrite your personal story.
Navigate Life Transitions with Clarity – Whether it's relationships, career shifts, or personal reinvention, therapy provides the tools to move forward.
Embrace Your Contradictions – You’re not one thing—you’re many things. Therapy is a space to explore, experiment, and expand who you are.
Heal & Reconnect with Yourself – Process past wounds, let go of societal “shoulds,” and rebuild your sense of self on your own terms.

Your personal evolution isn’t about perfection—it’s about authenticity, resilience, and self-liberation.

 FAQs

  • I consider myself a "generalist" practitioner, meaning that I am adept at working with many of the most common mental health struggles, including depression, anxiety, and grief. That being said, I love working with folks who are committed to improving how they show up in relationships, folks moving through grief and life transitions, and those interested in picking apart old narratives that no longer serve them (while creating new ones that do.)

I use an eclectic approach that most frequently combines elements of mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My work is also relationally-based, which means that the interventions, tricks, and tips I use in therapy are less important than the relationship that we develop as therapist-client, which is founded on trust and safety.

I do not specialize in working with addictions, disordered eating, OCD, schizophrenia, or psychosis. Should you or someone you know struggle with any of those conditions, I recommend connecting with a provider who specializes in those areas.

  • I do not work with children or adolescents under the age of 16. I do, however, work with older teens who are self-motivated to engage in therapy.

  • It's important to me that my services are offered at rates that are on par with the average for our community.

Individual session rates are as follows:

    • 15 Minute Consultation: Free

    • Initial 50-minute intake session, which includes an assessment of your personal history, including family of origin, challenging life experiences, current and historical well-being, goals, and strengths.: $185

    • Subsequent 50-minute sessions, devoted to time spent working on goals outlined in treatment plan and/or current life challenges and topics you would like to focus on: $165

  • es, for the time being I am able to bill the following insurance companies for individual therapy under the supervision of Elizabeth Oh, LCSW.

    • Aetna

    • Allegiance

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield

    • Boulder Admin

    • Cigna

    • Mountain Health Co-Op

Please note that in order to bill insurance for services, you must meet diagnostic criteria for a mental health condition as defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).

If you are uninsured or insured by an insurance provider not listed above, we can explore private pay and super bill options.

*Please be aware that there is a possibility that come June 2025, I may no longer be accepting insurance.

  • Yes, I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who are uninsured at the rate of $75-$150 per session, depending on ability to pay.

  • I prefer to work with clients on a weekly basis to maintain momentum and keep the work consistent. That said, I understand that life happens and sometimes meeting every other week is more realistic or accessible. The pace is ultimately about what works best for you, and I’m flexible in finding a rhythm that supports your progress without adding unnecessary pressure.

  • Therapy can bring a wide range of benefits, from gaining clarity and understanding about your emotions to learning new ways to navigate life’s challenges. You'll build healthier patterns, develop tools for managing stress and conflict, and uncover insights that help you connect more deeply with yourself and others. Whether you’re healing from past wounds, facing a major life transition, or just looking to grow, therapy creates space for lasting transformation and personal empowerment.

  • There's no easy answer to this one. Some people enjoy long-term therapeutic relationships that focus on building a strong alliance between them and their therapist, gaining trust to explore deeper issues and move through various seasons of life. Others prefer a short-term approach to therapy, addressing specific issues within a more narrow time span. I believe that you are the expert in what you need, and I will work with you to better understand what you're looking for and the approach that works for you.

Regardless of the number of hours spent in therapy, research consistently shows that regular, weekly sessions with a trusted professional is the greatest indicator of successful outcomes. My commitment to each of my clients is that we will check-in at regular intervals to make sure that we're on-track with your goals and that you're having the kind of experience you hope to throughout this process.

For your part, the willingness to be open and honest, showing up regularly, reflecting on identified issues outside of session, and applying what you learn in therapy to life in the "real world" will help support and sustain the progress you hope to make.

  • While I always prefer to meet in-person, I do offer sessions via Telehealth to clients who are physically present in the state of Montana.
